Epidermal pigment sits shallow in the outermost layer of the skin, so its borders are sharp and it stands out. Because only the pigment needs to be removed selectively, one-day pigment treatment can clear major pigment concerns the same day.
By contrast, dermal pigment or melasma lies deeper and spreads in a hazier way, so treating it aggressively can stimulate melanin and actually make it darker. That is why a consultation to identify what is truly epidermal pigment is the starting point of one-day treatment.

That is why one-day pigment treatment starts with a consultation to identify "what can be erased." Only by setting the wavelength and intensity within a range that will not provoke melanin can the treatment clear pigment safely and cleanly.

Before & After Care

Epidermal pigment is cleared safely in a single day, but treating it too aggressively without proper diagnosis can stimulate melanin and leave post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Always proceed within a range that will not provoke melanin, after a specialist's diagnosis. Because UV exposure is the biggest cause of recurrence, avoid the sun for 1–2 weeks after treatment and use sunscreen consistently. Results and responses vary by individual, and side effects may occur.
